Just might be the greatest title for a blog I have ever read in my life.
This guy in Canada has actually invented a suit like the one Master Chief wears in x-box’s Halo! Check it out HERE!

So it is a nice cold rainy day today. I find that many people feel that is a contradictory statement because cold and rainy are not normally associated with being nice. Sometimes I think maybe it’s part of my heritage. My family on my father’s side comes from Cork and I know my mom’s half Irish from the O’Boyle clan. So maybe it’s just natural for me to enjoy these damp and cold days with a cup of tea watching “The Quiet Man”.
It did not occur to me until yesterday that that movie may only be famous among my family and others like ours that treasure it for it’s Irish roots. For those who are not familiar, and there are many, I always first say that it’s a John Wayne movie. That alone is funny because it’s not a western or a war movie. Really if I had to classify it I would say it’s a romantic comedy.
Here is the summary from IMDB:

Sean Thornton has returned from America to reclaim his homestead and escape his past. Sean’s eye is caught by Mary Kate Danaher, a beautiful but poor maiden, and younger sister of ill-tempered “Red” Will Danaher. The riotous relationship that forms between Sean and Mary Kate, punctuated by Will’s pugnacious attempts to keep them apart, form the main plot, with Sean’s past as the dark undercurrent.
The characters are memorable and lovable and if you have never seen it I suggest you do it when it’s cold and rainy and with a cup of tea in hand! That’s what I am going to do right now. I can hear the groans from the kids already but once it’s on they’ll be engrossed in the story immediately like every other time I have put it on.
You can include Jennifer Love Hewitt into the long list of washed up stars trying their thing at country. While some have succeeded at making the cross into country music and received the acceptance of fans, like Jewel, others have crashed and burned. Ahem, Jessica Simpson. Country fans know what they like and they can spot a faker a million miles away. I think at this point the only thing J-Love has going for her is her size two waistline. Maybe she can get one mile closer without being spotted faking a love for the music. Read more about it here:

Marley made this song up all by herself. It’s called “Don’t Take It Away”.
They found what is believed to be the world’s oldest sculpture of a human and of course the majority of it is boobs. Shocker. Check it out here.

You know common sayings like a bird in the hand is worth two in the bush? Well if Mike were to say it it would be something more like having a bird is better than birds in your bushes. Or something like that. I always used to think my step-mom was the only one who said things like Hot Diggity Break Drums. But now we have Mike.
So here is your first Mikeums entry. I am sure there will be many more.
And if you know Mike, please, he wants to be corrected. Don’t feel bad. He doesn’t want to sound like an idiot so hook a brother up!
Here is your Mikeum for today:
We can burn that bridge when we get to it.
So last night I was gardening before dinner. I had the dogs outside playing, the kids helping me, and Mike of course in his managerial position as supervisor. Next thing I know the dogs are both running towards me, no galloping towards me full speed. All of a sudden Ziggy slams into my ankle full force. I would have to say I couldn’t move for about five minutes. Then Mike brought me in the house to sit down and put my foot up. Today, it hurts like a mother. At least Mike doesn’t have to worry about me driving around town spending all of his money on things I don’t need. But if you happen to be in Middlefield and want to bring me a cup of coffee just let me know!
